Amsterdam late spring 2012

It has been a busy month or two. One highlight has been the visit of Jim & Joanne and Liliane and Renaud from Aups, and a highlight of that visit was the dinner cruise we had on the canals in the Paradis. Another highlight has been the visit of Margot, and a highlight of her visit was our dinner for eleven – including Jim, Gary his nephew, Karen and Mike – Gary’s friends, Santima who has been ill but is now better, Fred and Vicky who made the delicious first course, and Margot’s friend Bo. A third highlight was our meeting of Jake Kosinski who was also born in the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo as was I, although with a vastly wide gap of years between. Apart from this, I have been writing. One exchange concerning paganism occurred on The Wild Hunt and was titled “Being Upon the Brink of Catastrophe” (http://michaelyork.co.uk/Domus/My-Comments/wild%20hunt.html). The second and third comments were made in response to responses I had received on the original.

And now within minutes we are off to France for Rachida and Thomas’ wedding in the south – Rachida being Moslem and Thomas being atheist. They are very much in love.
